Hotel Eilean Iarmain - the most stunning position on the sea with incredible views and the best fish and chips.
Kinloch Lodge - go for Sunday lunch or for a cocktail - the martinis and margaritas are delicious!
The Oyster Shed - really fun for lunch, having had a walk along Glen Brittle beach and having seen the Fairy Pools.
Sponsor Scallops - if you are looking for scallops, you won't get them fresher than David's catch - absolutely delicious and a really fun experience collecting them from him.
Skye Bridge Seafood also sells delicious fish.
Do:
On route from Inverness we stopped off in this magical town called Plockton and stayed at The Plockton Inn which was full of charm and does an unbelievable dinner and breakfast - I would recommend the langoustine for dinner and eggs and salmon for breakfast - yummy! Make sure you have a drink at The Plockton Hotel before dinner which is right on the front by the sea. We then went to Plockton Coral Beach the next day which was stunning and a great walk to get to, we drove through the village of Duirinish which has a river running through it and lots of cows on the road, drove past Duncraig Castle and then up to Applecross where we had delicious fish and chips at the Applecross Inn - amazing!
Coral Beach - a beautiful sandy beach - feels like your at the end of the world. You can also see Macleods Maidens across the sea from the beach. I would go to the Stein Inn (incredible position) for lunch afterwards and pop into Dunvegan Castle - the gardens are incredible. If you drive through Dunvegan and are in need of groceries you must stop at the fruit and veg shop in the metal container on the side of the road.
Point of Sleat walk - a really great 5 mile walk, which leads to a beautiful secluded sandy bay - try to do this on a nice day and you may find yourself tempted to have a dip!
Misty Isle Boat Trip - its a fun thing to do - more of a walk than a long boat trip but they drop you off at the bottom of the Cuillin hills which are spectacular. Pack a picnic. Watch out for signs to Mrs Moggs farm shop on your way home for a delicious scone!
Wander around Portree, stop off for a coffee at The Skye Baking Company and grab some fish from Dan the man who has a van which parks in the co op (on the industrial estate) car park.
Glen Brittle Beach / Fairy Pools - beautiful beach and the fairy pools are just next door and worth a visit.
